Before we start this course, we will first look at what will be covered during the training. The course is divided into categories, and in each category, there are a number of videos. You can pause and watch again any of the videos on the course. We update our courses regularly, and you will be able to see the replacement videos and any new videos as they are released. This may be an online course, but if you have any questions during the course, you can contact us on 01206-805-359, or email us on support@protrainings.eu, or use the online chat on any of our online sites. More information can also be found on www.protrainings.eu.

You work through the course videos in order. We will now give you a summary of what the course will cover: What manual handling is and why it is important, manual handling regulations, the guidelines of manual handling, how and why we lift objects correctly, and the manager's duties.

We will also cover lifting safely, accidents and accident prevention. This will include assessing the individual move, back and spinal pain, MSDs, RSIs, slips, trips, and falls, and VDU safety. The TILE method will be discussed, and this is the method we use when assessing and controlling risks. Moving and lifting objects is also included in the course, and covers heavy lifting, lifting as a team, lifting odd-shaped objects, and pushing and pulling.

The final category is lifting aides within the workplace, and we will look at things like motorised lifting aides, conveyor belts, pallet trucks, sack trucks, and using a trolley. These videos will demonstrate different lifting aides. The course has approximately one and a half hours of videos.
